The Data Behind H1B Visas

Join Dave Fowler, founder of Chartio, for a data informed look at immigration and visa reform. This is a hot topic as the technology industry lobbies to bring more international technical talent to their companies. With the help of Enigma.io, Chartio visualized a 2012 Department of Labor data set looking at how many H1B visas were approved.

Some stats Dave will go over is the fact that most applications come from computer systems analysts (89,651 total applications) and 95% are approved for a visa. Of those that apply for H-1B visas, anesthesiologists make the highest salaries ($267,502 a year), whereas agricultural inspectors make the least ($24,902).

And that is just a taste of what Dave will go over.
