We’re excited to bring Startup Showcase to Strata Conference in London, giving groundbreaking startups a chance to show their stuff to the world. Here’s how to get involved.

A new generation of businesses is betting that data-driven products can give them the edge. From efficient marketplaces to frictionless transactions, from better customer interaction to prescient predictions, from platforms to mine vast troves of data instantly to catalogs of information available for sale, the startup ecosystem loves big data.

Startup Showcase

Startups that put data first aren’t just able to adjust faster and find their product and market better. They’re also reconsidering aging industries and ailing infrastructure, upending incumbents and breaking down barriers to entry.

Our team of investors, entrepreneurs, and industry analysts will select 10 leading big data startups from the submissions we receive. These startups will have a chance to present their technologies and tell their stories live at the Startup Showcase on 1 October; then our judges will choose the best of the best live at Strata. Here’s what you need to know:

  • To get started, complete our Startup Showcase application before 17 September, 2012
  • Once we’ve received all the applications, we’ll review them with our judges and contact the finalists by 19 September, 2012.
  • To be a finalist, you need to be in London on Monday,1 October, 2012. As a finalist, you’ll receive up to two passes to the Strata Conference in London for members of your company directly involved in the presentation.
  • Winners will be announced on Tuesday, 2 October, onstage during the morning keynotes (which will also be live-streamed online).
